Suzaka City was the town where the lord of the Suzaka Domain, the Hori family resided during the Edo Period as well as the place where Ozasa Highway and Tani Highway intersected, so many business transactions occurred here.

From the Meiji Period to the Showa Period, the area prospered greatly from the silk industry.

Many storehouses built from the Meiji Period to the Showa Period still remain in the urban area, and these storehouses have been repurposed as shops, museums, art museums, and so on where you can get a sense of that time.

And in the suburban area, you can see a treasure trove of wonderful nature and travelers can be soothed by hot springs that are still beloved after all these years.
